Court rules out bail to 4 accused
A Delhi court on Monday rejected the bail plea of the two top officials of a private construction company in a corruption case in which two senior officials of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) are also accused.
The court sent all the four accused, including NHAI chief general manager S.K. Nirmal and general manager Nitin Jain, to judicial custody till June 14.
The court rejected bail applications of the managing director of a private construction company and his employee terming the plea as devoid of merits.
The CBI has so far recovered Rs 2.41 crores and Rs 46 lakhs from the accused officials.

After receiving a formal request from an additional sessions judge (ASJ) V.K. Goyal for recusal from hearing the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case involving senior Congress leader Sajjan Kumar, district judge (DJ) Bimla Makin on Monday allowed the plea of the judge and decided to hear the matter herself on June 2.
The DJ passed the order to transfer the case after being satisfied with the reasons submitted by the ASJ.
The district judge directed that the envelop containing the reasons given by the ASJ to be sealed again saying the document shall not be opened again except by the order of the Delhi high court.
