Court tells man to pay wife extra maintenance
A man’s attempt to avoid paying `10,000 monthly maintenance to his estranged wife failed as Tis Hazari Court additional sessions judge asked him to pay `5,000 extra to his wife, after noting that he had allegedly tried to conceal his income.
The court, after going through the records said, “There appears to be clear attempt by the petitioner/ revisionist (husband) not only to conceal and suppress his income but also present an untrue picture of his occupation and financial status/background.”
The man allegedly voided paying `10,000 to his wife claiming that he was merely assisting his mother in the business left by his father.
