Delhi firemen get 210 Diwali calls

It was another busy Diwali night for the Delhi fire department that received 210 calls from across the capital till early on Thursday but there was no major incident, an official said.

"We got 210 calls from Wednesday morning to early on Thursday," said a Delhi Fire Service official. The number of calls this year was more than last year's 169. In 2009, the number was 207. Delhi has 53 operational fire stations and a workforce of over 3,000 fire fighters.
