Delhi team wins Robot Olympiad
Adrenaline soared as kids displayed robotic feats at the finals of the Indian Robot Olympiad (IRO). Young scientific minds of 46 regional team winners clashed and over 15 teams qualified for the finals. The national winner was a Delhi team in senior high category, which comprised of Abhyuit Dev, Dhruv Kumar and Karan Khazanchi.
In the junior category, a team from Mumbai, and in the primary category, a team from Jaipur bagged the 1st rank.
The students created, designed and built robots using Lego’s robotics kit. Chief guest at the event, Claus Ditlev Christensen, programme manager of World Robot Olympiad, Denmark, said, “My travel to India has shown that this country has great potential, skill and future. Techtronics Education has spent great time and effort in creating IRO.”
The IRO is an event for science, technology and education, which brings together young minds, aged between 9 and 19, from all over the country to develop their creativity and problem solving skills through challenging and educational robotics competitions.
