Doc kills wife, dumps body in UP

Disturbed over frequent quarrels, a doctor allegedly throttled his wife to death and threw her body in a river in Allahabad. The police has arrested the accused. According to the police, Chandra Vibhash, a surgeon in Deen Dayal Upadhayay,

lived with his wife in Hari Nagar. He is from Jharkhand. He married Supriya, 27, two years ago. Supriya had done her B.Tech and an MBA but the couple had a frayed relation. One day, annoyed with his wife after an argument, he strangled his wife, put the body in a bag and drove to Allahabad in his i20 car.
According to the police, Supriya’s father told the police that after two months of marriage, his daughter started complaining that she is being ill-treated by her husband and even physically tortured. Many a times, he settled their disputes. Supriya frequently called her mother about the torture and ill-treatment meted out to her. One day, Dr Chandra ousted her from his house. But after some days, with the intervention of some relatives, Supriya was brought back to Delhi but the assault continued even after that. The parents also told the police that whenever she asked for money for daily expenses, he would taunt her and ask her to get money from her parents.
On Friday, she called her mother saying that she is facing a threat to her life. She could not be contacted after that. When the parents called up Dr Chandra, he misguided them by saying that she is in Mathura while he was on his way to Allahabd to dump her body.
Supriya’s parents rushed to Delhi and found the rented flat abandoned. However, later Dr Chandra confessed to his in-laws that he strangulated Supriya and threw her body in Allahabad. During interrogation, Dr Chandra revealed that he strangulated his wife as he did not find her compatible, both physically and mentally.
Dr Chandra was arrested and produced in the court on Tuesday. He will be in police remand for five days. The police has left for Allahabad.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
