Drunk driver ploughs bus into crowd
A chartered bus crashed into a religious congregation at Rani Bagh on Saturday evening, injuring three women, one of them critically. The incident took place at at around 11 pm when the driver Shanker, who was allegedly drunk, crashed the bus into a congregation. The injured, Madhuri, Sunita and Meena, were rushed to a nearby hospital where the condition of Madhuri is critical. Shankar has been arrested and charged for rash and negligent driving.
In another accident, a speeding DTC low-floor bus hit a tanker in Delhi Cantt area.

Major fire at shoe factory in W. Delhi

Oct. 31: A major fire broke out in a shoe factory at Mayapuri on Sunday.
The fire broke out in the factory at around 5 am. “As soon as we received a call, 16 fire tender were rushed to the spot to douse the fire. It took more than seven hours to bring the blaze under control. No one was injured,” said an official of Delhi Fire Service.
