Executive found dead near railway track
A 30-year-old executive was found dead under highly mysterious circumstances near railway tracks in an east Delhi locality on Monday evening.
The police officials said the deceased, identified as Anjani Thakur, a resident of Pandav Nagar, was found lying near railway tracks in Chander Vihar in Mandawali area by a pedestrian who alerted the police control room. The body was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead.
The family members of the deceased, who got married just 45 days ago, have told the police that Anjani left for Kotak Mahindra’s insurance unit in Laxmi Nagar area where he worked at a managerial post on a motorcycle on Monday morning. “When Anjani didn’t turn up at his residence and several calls to his mobile went unanswered, the family members approached Pandav Nagar police station where a missing complaint was filed and a message was flashed in all districts of the city about the incident,” a police source said.
Later on Monday, the Mandawali police received a call about a pedestrian who was lying in an unconscious state. “His motorcycle was found at the spot but his gold items, including a chain and a ring, are missing. So far it looks like a case of accident,” a senior police official said.
