Call centre employee ‘attacked’
New Delhi, Dec. 6: A young call centre employee, hailing from the Northeast, escaped an attempted sexual assault by two Africans in south Delhi, the police said on Monday. The incident took place near a mall in Saket when the victim was going to her house on December 1, a week after the abduction and gangrape of a call centre employee in Dhaula Kuan.
The victim, who works at a Noida-based call centre, was returning after collecting her debit card from a bank when two Africans intercepted her and tried to drag her to an isolated place, a police official said.
“They passed lewd comments. First, she ignored them and then they caught her by her arms when she raised an alarm,” the official said. —PTI
