Four held for killing jeweller

Four persons were apprehended here for allegedly killing a jeweller during a robbery attempt with the police claiming on Friday that they have solved around 90 cases of murder, loot and snatching with their arrest.
The arrested have been identified as Narender Kumar, 27, Vijay, 27, Sandeep, 26 and Rajesh Gautam, 26. They were arrested from Adarsh Nagar on Thursday on a tip-off.
Vijay has allegedly committed about 80-90 snatchings in northwest Delhi, north Delhi and trans-Yamuna areas.
He further revealed that he is absconding in more than 15 cases of snatching being tried in different courts of Delhi, said the police.
The gang was allegedly involved in the murder of a 65-year-old jeweller in Mukherjee Nagar on September 5. They had robbed him of `15-20 lakhs, a senior police official said.
