Giant video screens to air marathon

With people staying away from the cycling event on Sunday, the organisers have now promised that spectators will get to watch the action of the marathon and the cycling events that will take place on October 14, the last day of the Games. While giant video screens will be put at public places for the cycling event in Delhi, spectators will get to watch the marathon and cycling action in Greater Noida from specially built enclosures along the road.

OC officials said that though people remained away from the roads on account of security, they watched the action on television. Therefore, video screens will be installed at various public places. Earlier, Commonwealth Games Federation president Mike Fennell had pointed out that though the cycling race was conducted in a smooth manner, the down side of it was presence of a very few people.
Reigning world champions of marathon will take to the roads on Greater Noida Expressway. In order to ensure that the spectators enjoy the race, at least 13 spectator holding areas have been created.

Delhi govt to discuss circle rates
AGE CORRESPONDENT
New Delhi

Oct. 11: The Delhi government officials on Monday announced that the minimum selling price of a plot in the capital will come up for discussion again in the Delhi Cabinet on Tuesday.
The matter was put up for discussion in the meeting of the Cabinet on Monday, but due to differences and lack of time, it was decided that the issue will be sorted out Tuesday, said the officials.
On August 30, the Delhi government had decided to seek public opinion on the issue of revised circle rates after discussing a report. The report had decided to raise the circle rates of some colonies. The Cabinet meeting had decided to defer a decision that day on the circle rates on the sale and purchase of properties, noting that people can send their views within six weeks
