Govt to expand 2 city hospitals

The city government is planning to expand Rao Tula Ram Hospital and Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital, health minister A.K. Walia said while responding to a question in the Assembly on Friday. Answering a question by Congress MLA

Devender Yadav over expanding Rao Tula Ram Hospital, Dr Walia said, “Yes, the process is going on. No time limit has been fixed.”
Dr Walia said the government is planning to expand the Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Patpargunj and land has been allotted for the same. “A total of 7,703 square metres of land has been allotted in the vicinity of the hospital,” he said. Several hospitals in the city face severe medical staff shortage, he conceded.
