Honda Accord hits tree, 2 killed
Two persons were killed and three others were grievously injured when a luxury car rammed into a tree in south east Delhi’s Hazrat Nizamuddin area on Wednesday night.
Police officials said the incident took place at around 1 am on Mathura Road when five men were going to Noida from a hotel in Connaught Place.
The deceased have been identified as Paul Sanglina, 23, and Robin, 30.
The police said a Honda Accord car, which was allegedly speeding, rammed into a tree at the Mathura Road intersection.
Three other occupants of the car, who were critically injured, have been identified as Henry, 30, Choosidela, 22, and Danny, 32.
A pedestrian alerted the police control room and the five were rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre where Paul and Robin were declared dead on arrival.
“The other three are undergoing treatment,” the officer said.
Police sources revealed that the men hail from Nagaland and operate a real estate company in Noida.
“Prima facie examination of the group did not confirm that they had consumed alcohol. However, the investigation is on and a case of rash and negligent driving has been registered,” the police officer said.
