Hot, humid weather till rains in city
With the city still awaiting its first monsoon shower this season, high levels of humidity made life uncomfortable for Delhiites on Saturday. The monsoon may finally hit the city some time next week.
According to the weather man, the maximum and minimum humidity levels were recorded at 72 per cent and 46 per cent, respectively.
Though wind began blowing towards late afternoon, overall it was a sultry day with the mercury too going slightly up.
The maximum and minimum temperatures on Saturday were recorded at 38.9 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal, and 30.5 degrees, three degrees above normal.
The weatherman has predicted no major change for Sunday. The sky will remain partly cloudy and there is possibility of thunderstorm in some areas.
The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 39 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively.
