Inspector’s death was ‘accidental’
The initial post-mortem report of a Delhi police inspector who was found dead under mysterious circumstances inside the outer boundary of Old Fort on May 28 indicated that the cause of inspector’s death was ‘accidental’.
Police sources said that the report was received from a city hospital on Monday afternoon which has listed “internal injuries” and “excessive bleeding” as causes of death. The family of the deceased alleged that inspector Shyam Sunder of the Kalyanpuri police station was murdered.
“We are awaiting the final post-mortem report and reports of other forensic tests,” a senior police official said.

Woman, lover held for killing

A woman and her lover have been arrested for allegedly murdering her brother-in-law in east Delhi’s Mandawali area. He was opposed to their relationship.
Police officials said the accused, identified as Usha, 28, was arrested with her lover Imamuddin, 25, for allegedly murdering Jagdish Yadav who was opposed to their relation.
The police has also charged Firoz, 26, and a juvenile for the murder in west Vinod Nagar area last Thursday. Yadav was found stabbed to death at his residence.
