From January 1, dial 155370 for Metro info
The Delhi Metro’s new helpline number would be 155370. The number would be operational from January 1. The Delhi Metro had earlier announced that the new number would be 155363.
“Due to some unavoidable circumstances, the department of telecommunications had to change the newly allotted telephone number to DMRC. The new helpline number, 155370, will be operational from the 1st of January, 2011. It will provide better and improved connectivity from GSM and CDMA mobile connections,” a Delhi Mero spokesperosn said.
From the same day, the existing Delhi Metro helpline number, 128128, will stop functioning. This step had to be taken as DMRC was receiving many complaints from the commuters that the number does not connect from some GSM and CDMA mobiles.
The new number has been provided with caller ID facility. The concerned officials will be immediately informed about the complaint to ensure that a quick solution is provided to the same.
Mobile users and callers even residing outside Delhi can avail the service by calling on the number 011-155370.
However, the calls made on this service are not toll free.
