JD-U to fight MCD polls
The JD(U) in its workers’ meeting in the city decided to contest the MCD elections. The JD(U) meet, which was attended by party chief Sharad Yadav and five MPs, resolved that the party will seek a certain number of wards from the BJP to contest the elections. “The party has decided to approach the BJP to ask for a certain number of wards to contest the polls. If the party’s demand is not accepted, the JD(U) will contest the elections on its own,” said JD(U) general secretary Javed Raza.
The JD (U) also resolved in its meeting that the party would work to build base in the city and in the long run the party would also contest the Assembly elections.
