Juvenile inmates set shelter afire
Inmates of a juvenile home tried to set things afire in a protest against the state of affairs there. They also tried to vandalise the fire tenders. “The inmates of a remand home set cardboard on fire demanding better food and basic amenities. They later threw stones on fire tenders,” a Delhi police official said. The incident occurred in
northwest Delhi on Friday night. The fire tenders were pressed in to meet any situation of emergency that could arise in such a circumstance. The children of the remand home were reportedly not happy with the food they were given. They demanded for basic amenities. They were not happy with the superintendent either. The police is looking in to the matter, a police official said. However, a senior police maintained that this was not a serious matter.
