Katara case accused gets interim bail
Additional sessions judge (ASJ) J.R. Aryan on Friday granted bail to an accused in the Nitish Katara murder case for performing the last rites of his mother.
Granting interim bail to Sukhdev Pehalwan, for four days from November 24 to 27 for performing the “shradh” of his mother who passed away on November 10 at his native place in UP, the ASJ said, the Hindu customs require the presence of the son during “shradh”.
The court granted interim bail to Pehalwan after he furnished a personal bond and two surety bonds of `50,000 each. The court said, one of the sureties must belong to the national capital who can guarantee that he would surrender on the expiry of his bail period.
