Appu Ghar to open in Gurgaon
New Delhi, Sept. 30: Delhi’s much loved and remembered amusement park Appu Ghar, which shut shop in 2008, is all set to make a comeback by next year. Appu Ghar was shut down to make way for a wing of the Supreme Court.
A part of its land was used by the Delhi Metro to build a station.
The new park would come up in two separate complexes in Sector 29 and 52 A of Gurgaon, around two km apart and connected by shuttle buses.
The project is a joint venture of International Amusement Limited (IAL) and Unitech group.
“Built over an area of 58 acres, Appu Ghar will have an amusement park, water park, shopping mall and a sports club,” said IAL chairman Gian Vijeshwar.
“A part of it would be opened by March next year while the whole project would be completed within two years,” he added.
According to IAL officials, the new Appu Ghar is being designed keeping in mind the diverse cultures of the country and handicrafts and the folk arts will get a prominence in the designing.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
