Maid, 2 aides held for loot incidents in Delhi, Noida

A domestic help and two others were arrested on Saturday in connection with a series of robberies here and in Delhi and the police recovered `24.51 lakhs in cash from them. Noida SSP Praveen Kumar said that on April 26 Vimal Garg, a resident of A-96, Sector 20, Noida, had gone out of town with family members.

Her daughter and the domestic help were at the house. Around 6.45 pm, three unidentified persons entered the house, overpowered them and robbed cash and jewellery.
The Noida police arrested Virender Singh, domestic help Sunita and Dharmendra and recovered `21.22 lakhs in cash from them. Another `3.29 lakhs robbed from Delhi were also recovered.
On interrogation, Sunita confessed that she had planned the robbery, the police said. She also said that she had committed several robberies in Sonia Vihar, Delhi, and Noida on similar pattern.
In another crackdown, Sector 39 police arrested Ravi and Lal Singh who allegedly robbed and killed one Amit on April 30. The police recovered `20,000 cash robbed from Amit and the vehicle used by them in the crime.
