Man’s eye pops out in attack

A 46-year-old man and his two daughters were seriously injured when a masked man attacked them at their west Delhi residence on Sunday morning.
Mahavir, a resident of Bakkarwala village in west Delhi, was sleeping when the unidentified man attacked him with a blunt object at 5 am, said the police. Mahavir’s left eye came out due to the blow.
“As he cried for help, his two daughters rushed out but the masked man attacked them also. Both sustained serious injuries in the attack. The two girls were rushed to a private hospital while Mahavir was admitted to a government hospital,” said the police. The masked man was carrying chilli powder which he tried to stuff into Mahavir’s eye after the attack, the police added . “So far, it seems to be a case of personal rivalry,” said police officials. One of the girls is said to be critical.
