Man held for killing his mother

A 25-year-old son, who had allegedly murdered his mother at Harsh Vihar on Saturday, has been arrested by northeast Delhi. The police has also recovered the weapon of offence.

According to the police, Yusuf, who was absconding, was arrested on Sunday evening at a liquor vend in Harsh Vihar.
During interrogation, the accused told the police that he always rued the fact that his family disregarded him and gave more weightage to his brother-in-law in important decisions.
On Saturday evening, Yusuf, a labourer in an aluminium utensil factory, picked up an argument with his mother over the issue. In a fit of rage, he picked up an iron rod and hit his mother on the head and fled.
