Age Correspondent
New Delhi, May 28
Kartik Sawhney, a visually-impaired student who studied Science and Maths upto Class 12 and was selected for a undergraduate programme at Stanford University, has placed few suggestion on how to teach these subjects to visually-impaired students taking admission under the four-year undergraduate programme. Kartik is one of the student who score moer than 95 per cent in the CBSE Class 12th exam. “After going through the curriculum, it is understood that the university plans to use considerable electronic resources (in the form of slides and spreadsheets). Several of these documents can be accessed by a blind or visually impaired student using a screen reader. Hence, the professors should provide a softcopy of the slide/spreadsheet in advanced to the student,” he said.
