Man wanted in 13 crime cases arrested

Listed as one of the top 10 most wanted criminals by the Delhi police, a 28-year-old man involved in 13 criminal cases, including murder, was arrested here, the police said on Friday. Sanjay Rathi was arrested on a tip-off Thursday from Bawana, north Delhi where he had come to kill Rajender Singh, with whom he had a property dispute. The police laid a trap on the Ghoga-Harevali road leading to Bawana. As soon as the accused realized he was trapped, he opened fire at the police.
“We overpowered him and arrested him,” said a police officer.
