MCD faults neighbours for dengue
The MCD on Tuesday blamed the neighbouring districts for not taking enough anti-dengue measures for the spread of the disease in the city. Meanwhile, 22 fresh dengue cases were reported on Tuesday, taking the total to 5,605.
A senior MCD functionary of the corporation’s health department claimed that the dengue spread grew because the neighbouring states did not undertake anti-dengue measures. He said people got affected and came to Delhi for treatment leading to transmission of the disease. He went on to add that people coming for treatment at hospitals like Apollo and GTB give the addresses of their relatives in Delhi as their own, which statistically adds to the cases in the city.
