Missing 8-year-old girl found murdered

The body of an eight-year-old girl, who had gone missing since January 3, was found in an under-construction building a couple of lanes away from her house in Patel Nagar on Monday. The police is trying to find out whether the girl was sexually assaulted. Two minor boys living in the locality are suspected to be involved in the incident.

According to the police, the girl had left her home on January 3 to buy some items from the nearby market. However, she did not return following which a case of kidnapping was registered. However, the police could not make any headway in the case.
On Monday evening, some labourers spotted the body lying in an under-construction building in lane No. 6 of Prem Nagar, Patel Nagar. They informed the owner who informed the police. The police said that post-mortem report would confirm sexual assault and the cause of death. The police suspect the involvement of two minor boys in the case.
