Missing Class 12 girl found killed

A 17-year-old Class 12 girl student, who went missing from Mayur Vihar area on Friday was found dead near a canal in New Ashok Nagar area. Her brother was also found murdered at the same crime spot 10 years ago.
The police said that the deceased girl was identified as Lakshmi, alias Lakki. She was living in Trilokpuri with her family. Her father Ramesh Chand is an autorickshaw driver. The deceased had gone missing after her school on Friday. Her family members had approached the police and an FIR of her missing was lodged.
The police was searching for the girl when it got a call that a dead body of a female was found near a canal.
A police team was rushed to the spot and the family members of the missing Lakshmi were also called.
The family members of the deceased identified the body as that of Lakshmi with the help of her name tattooed on her hand. Sources said that she was murdered by her kidnapper. Raj Rani, the mother of the deceased girl, said that Lakshmi was found murdered at the same spot where her younger son was killed by unidentified assailants 10 years back.
“We don’t have personal enmity with anyone. I don’t know who kidnapped and killed my daughter. She was not having any affair with anyone,” said the mother of the deceased. Lakki is survived by a brother and three sisters.
Meanwhile, a police source said that one Arun, 22, has been detained by the police for questioning in this regard.
