Missing Class 2 student found dead in E. Delhi

The police on Wednesday recovered the decomposed body of a Class 2 student who went missing from a park in east Delhi while watching Dussehra celebrations on Sunday.

Police official said the nude body of the 11-year-old deceased, a resident of Trilokpuri area, was discovered near Sanjay Jheel park in east Delhi by locals, who alerted the police control room at around 9.30 am. The body was taken to a nearby hospital for post-mortem with the police suspecting that the deceased was sodomised and later killed. A case has been registered at the Pandav Nagar police station.
“On Sunday, he had gone to watch Dussehra celebrations organised by residents near Sanjay Jheel park. When he didn’t turn up at his house late in the evening, his father, Naresh Kumar, who works with a private firm in Lajpat Rai market, searched for him at his relatives’ places on Sunday night and later filed a police complaint on Monday morning when he failed to trace him,” a Delhi police official said.
The police received a call from a local who informed that a body was lying near the place where Dussehra celebrations took place on Sunday and it was later sent for a post-mortem examination.
The police is suspecting that the deceased was sodomised by the assailants who later killed him.
“His clothes were missing which hints at a possible case of sodomy. The assailant(s) may have later killed him fearing that he would reveal their names to the police. We have registered a case of murder and an investigation is on,” the official said. Police sources revealed that some people have been picked up in connection with the incident and they are being questioned.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
