MLAs target new minister for unsatisfactory answers
Delhi industries minister Ramakant Goswami faced tough moments during Question Hour on Wednesday when the opposition charged him for giving unsatisfactory answers and coming to the House unprepared.
The ordeal for Mr Goswami, inducted in the Cabinet in the recent reshuffle, began when BJP members Mohan Singh Bisht and Shrikrishan Tyagi asked why basic amenities were not available in industrial areas. The BJP MLAs kept telling Speaker Yoganand Shastri that the minister was not giving satisfactory answer.
Even Congress MLA Devendra Yadav expressed dissatisfaction at his answer on the status of industrial area in his constituency.
Mr Goswami kept saying that multiplicity of authorities is creating hurdle in improving the conditions in industrial areas and this led to further din in the House.
Chief minister Sheila Dikshit intervened to say that facilities in industrial estates were bad and efforts were on to improve the situation.
