Mother Dairy milk prices up by `2 today
Milk prices in the city are set to go up by `2 from Saturday as Mother Dairy announced a price hike by citing a hike in procurement prices.
“To ensure availability of milk, Mother Dairy is forced to pay an increased procurement price. The procurement price for milk has increased substantially since December
2010 due to rise in input costs like cattle feed, fodder, cost of transportation,” said a statement.
The full cream milk will now cost `35 a litre, up by `2, while toned milk would cost `27 a litre from `25 earlier. Double toned milk will now cost `24 a litre in place of `22.
