MP daughter’s blackberry, cash stolen

An unidentified elderly woman ran away with `1.50 lakh cash and an expensive mobile phone of the daughter of a Rajya Sabha MP from an exhibition booth at a five-star hotel here.

According to the police, the incident took place at the Bridal Asia exhibition held at Ashoka Hotel at around 5.30 pm on Sunday.
Karishma Singh, the daughter of BJP Rajya Sabha MP V.P. Singh Badnore, approached the police after her belongings were stolen from the booth where she was exhibiting her products.
Singh claimed that an elderly woman, aged around 60, stole her brown handbag which had a BlackBerry phone and `1.54 lakh cash, the official said.
The complainant has also provided CCTV footage in which the woman was seen stealing the bag.
The police has registered a case of theft and further investigations in the case are on.
