Nanda, two associates questioned by police

Industrialist Anil Nanda was subjected to questioning for the fourth time by Delhi police on Monday in connection with the mysterious murder of his driver Janeshwar Sharma on June 4.

Police officials also received the post-mortem report of Sharma from All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday which has confirmed “critical burn injuries” leading to “skin rupture” and exposure of vital organs as some of the causes of Sharma’s death.
“We have received the post-mortem report and further investigations are on. We are investigating the case from all possible angles and people are being questioned in the matter,” a senior police official said.
Police sources stated that Nanda and his associates were questioned individually on Monday. While Nanda was questioned at his residence, his two associates, Dheeraj Bhallani and Jeetender Panday, were questioned at their office on Mathura Road.
“We are increasing the scope of investigations and more people are being questioned. Investigations are revealing that Nanda was in the house when the incident happened,” the official claimed.
Meanwhile, a large group of people, mostly drivers, staged a protest demonstration outside Nanda’s residence on Sunday. The protesters shouted slogans against the Delhi police, alleging that it was shielding Nanda.
“No one cares for the poor. If such allegations (made by Sharma from hospital against Nanda) were made against a common man, he would have been thrashed by the cops. But the police hardly takes action against the rich people,” one of the protesters said.
When contacted, additional commissioner of police, Virender Singh Chahal said, “Investigations are going on and we are hoping to crack the case soon.”
Janeshwar Sharma suffered critical burn injuries in mysterious circumstances on June 4 while coming out of the servant quarters at Nanda’s New Friends Colony residence.
Before he died on June 15, Sharma alleged to a TV channel from his hospital bed that Nanda and his associates were indulging in immoral activities at his residence and there was a threat to his life from them. Sharma, however, didn’t elaborate on the threat.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
