New Metro helpline from Jan. 1
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will start a round-the-clock helpline number in the coming year. The improved customer care service will allow commuters to register their complaints and suggestions regarding services.
The helpline number 155363 will replace the existing 128128 from January 1. “The new helpline number can be accessed even from mobile phones. Delhi Metro decided to change the helpline number as commuters complained that they were not able to call the number from mobile phones,” said DMRC PRO, Anuj Dayal.
The previous number 128128 will become non-functional from the day the new number is operational.
With the new helpline number, DMRC promises to provide easy access and speedy solutions to public queries and complaints. “The concerned officials will be immediately informed about a complaint to ensure that a quick solution is provided,” Mr Dayal said. Mobile users and callers from outside Delhi can avail the service by calling 011-155363. However, the calls made on this service are not toll free.
The new helpline will help the physically-challenged commuters as they can call in advance and seek assistance from Metro staff to provide wheelchair facility at the Metro station.
