NGO moves HC against school for violating norm
Even as several private schools came out with their first list for nursery admissions, a NGO has moved the Delhi high court on behalf of a petitioner alleging that a private school had violated the norms related to leaving 25 per cent seats reserved for economically weaker sections. The court issued notices to the Centre and the city government in this regard.
Advocate Ashok Aggarwal of the NGO Social Jurist argued before the court that the Carmel Convent School had violated the norms related to providing free education to the students from the EWS. He further added that the school had got land from the Delhi government at a throw away prices.
