Pitbull arrives late, leaves early; fans irked

The music in the pub could not really entertain thousands of fans waiting for American rapper Pitbull’s performance, who showed up at venue five hours late.
The rapper, on his maiden visit to India, was scheduled to commence the show at 11 pm Friday but showed up at 1.30 am along with his five bandmates.

Pitbull, 30, performed only for half an hour as opposed to three hours promised by the organisers.
He sang hits like Let It rain over me, Give me everything tonight, and Hotel room service.
Clad in a Tuxedo and trademark black shades, Armando Christian Perez, popularly known as Pitbull apologised for the delay and said, “India is a beautiful country and place. I apologise for my delay.”
The 1,500 crowd at the Quantum Lounge in Noida went furious when the management, P3P E Ventures Pvt Ltd, asked the fans to evacuate the area near the stage without even confirming his entry. This let to a stampede like situation.
“This is really not done. We waited for more than five hours and Pitbull came just for half-an-hour. Management asked us to clear the area near stage because Pitbull refused to come on the stage if 500 people were not evacuated,” said Anjali Bhargav, who came with her two kids.
There was anger and dissatisfaction amongst fans — mostly of youngsters — who paid `4,000 and `8,000 for VIP and VVIP passes to be a part of the concert.
“This is unprofessional on the organiser’s part who fooled us with hefty ticket prices, which was not even worth. Now we are moving to some other night club for more because Pitbull failed to live up to our expectations,” said Akhil Sharma a Delhi University student.
The I know you want me hitmaker performs Saturday in Mumbai and on December 4 at Pune.
