Power, water supply to be affected in S. Delhi
Parts of south Delhi will face power and water supply woes on Tuesday and Wednesday. The private power distribution company, BSES, has informed that due to the ongoing road widening work it will carry out a planned shutdown of a transmission line, which will affect power supply in parts of the south Delhi.
“National Highway Authority of India is currently engaged in the road widening activity on the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road. Therefore, BSES Rajdhani (BRPL) is shifting the distribution network on the MG road. Consequently, electricity will be affected in some of the south Delhi areas on Tuesday and Wed-nesday for three hours,” stated a BSES spokesman.
The areas which will witness powercuts will be Aya Nagar village, DLF Chatterpur, Village Gadai Pur and Jona Pur, Village Satbar, Asola, Village and colony Aya Nagar, LH Hospital, Mangla Puri, Village Ghitorni, Village and colony Sultanpur, the BSES has informed.
DJB, in another statement, informed that due to emergency repair work water supply will be available at low pressure in the evening of July 20-21 in Dakshinpuri, Sheikh Sarai Phase-II, Madangir, Dakshinpuri, Extension, Tigri, Grater Kailash Part-I, East of Kailash, Sant Nagar, Kailash Colony, Panchsheel Park, Panchsh-eel Enclave. The DJB has also listed the areas of Udai Park, Niti Bagh, Vasant Kunj, Appolo Hospital, Okhla, Sarita Vihar and other adjoining areas.
