Property dealer shot in Narela

A 45-year-old property dealer was shot dead by unidentified assailants near his residence in Narela, outer Delhi, on Wednesday morning.
Police officials said the deceased, identified as Jasbir Singh, was on a morning walk when two unidentified assailants shot him dead near a park in Narela. The police is suspecting business rivalry to be the cause behind the incident, although no one has been arrested so far.

The incident took place at 6 am when Singh was in Sector 9, Narela, on his scooty.
“As Jasbir reached Sector A-5, two bike-borne youth approached him and reportedly started talking to him. He had some altercation with the assailants after which one of the men took out a pistol and fired at Singh,” a police official said.
The police said eight rounds were fired at Singh which hit him in his head and abdomen.
After hearing a volley of gunshots, the locals rushed to the spot and informed the police.
In the meantime, the assailants made their way out of the area and are reportedly hiding in neighbouring Haryana.
The police said Singh runs a property dealing and finance business in Narela. Preliminary investigations have revealed that Singh was involved in a dispute with another property dealer which could have triggered the killing. The police is however looking at the case from all angles.
