Rush as Stephen’s begins forms’ sale
The admission process in the Delhi University kickstarted with over 1,200 forms of the elite St Stephen’s College being sold on the first day. The admissions in Delhi Technological University will start from Wednesday.
“We sold over 1,168 forms and got 28 online forms for undergraduate courses till afternoon. Out of which 75 even deposited their forms,” a college official said.
The college has over 450 seats and only the creme de la creme in terms of marks manage to get admission in the prestigious college.
On the first day, the teachers could be seen guiding the students, however, from Wednesday onwards, the student volunteers will be helping out aspirants and their parents to fill the forms. The college also has a helpline which addresses the queries.
Meanwhile, the Delhi Technological University (DTU), formerly the Delhi College of Engineering, will begin the admission process from Wednesday for undergraduate programmes. The admission for postgraduate programmes will begin from June 1 and for Ph.D. from June 10.
There are 14 B.Tech. programmes on offer this year with a total 910 seats, where 85 per cent seats will be reserved for Delhi students and 15 per cent for outside Delhi category. The admission will be on the basis of rank obtained in the AIEEE-2010 examination.
