Sarita Vihar line back on usual time
The Delhi Metro services on the Central Secretariat-Sarita Vihar line will resume on its usual timing of 6 am from Friday, three days ahead of the initial plan. The opening timing for the services on this corridor had been pushed back by an hour for the integration of the line beyond Sarita Vihar.
The services used to start from 7 am since October 17. Initially, the delay was proposed till October 24. But the required work related to signalling, telecommunication, electrical and track integration has apparently been completed.
The Central Secretariat-Sarita Vihar line, which extends up to Badarpur, was opened on October 3 in the wake of the Commonwealth Games. The line played a crucial role in handling the rush of spectators for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as other events, going to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Jor Bagh, Jangpura and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium stations fall on this line.
