Sarita Vihar Metro line to open soon

The Sarita Vihar-Badarpur stretch of Delhi Metro is set to be opened for public after the commissioner of Metro rail safety will inspect the stretch on Tuesday for the mandatory safety clearance before the commencement of operations. The line is a pat of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur line.
“The CMRS will be inspecting the remaining part of the Badarpur line on Tuesday,”
a metro official said.
The Delhi Metro can inaugurate the stretch anytime after Mr R.K. Kardam gives the green signal. A DMRC official said they will decide on the date of the opening only after getting approval from the CMRS.
DMRC had rescheduled the opening of the 5-km stretch, part of the Central Secretariat-Badarpur Standard Gauge line, to this month after it missed the Commonwealth Games deadline.
Work on the stretch, especially the signalling work, was fast tracked after the Games. Once operational, the line will be integrated with the Central Secretariat-Sarita Vihar section. This will help thousands of residents in Badarpur area and Faridabad in Haryana to commute easily to the national capital and back.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.

Shekhar Kapur’s Bandit Queen didn’t make the cut. Neither did Shaji Karun’s Piravi, which bagged 31 international awards.
