Schools give Extra points for girl child

As anxiety looms over nursery admissions, people having a girl child can heave a sigh of relief as the criteria for admission gives them a few extra points, which gives them a edge.

In the admissions criteria for general student, all schools in Delhi and NCR are providing admissions based on the point-system, in which the girl child will get a 5 to 14 point benefit.
Apart from this, many schools have giving maximum points for those children whose sibling are already studying in the concerned school. The second priority is allotted to applicants who are residing nearby the school.
Even single parents (male or female) are given 5 points and parent(s) who have been transferred recently to Delhi from other state or overseas due to the service requirement are also allocated few points. The Delhi government recently introduced a point system for nursery admissions.
