Sheila in hospital after fever, stable
Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit was admitted to a private hospital following dehydration due to high fever and viral infection and her condition is “stable”. Ms Dikshit is likely to stay in hospital for the next three or four days.
Ms Dikshit (73) was admitted to a private hospital on Monday evening after she was diagnosed with high fever, along with severe viral infection.
“She was down with fever, so she called me up. She had highly dehydrated due to viral infection. The fever is coming down slowly, hospital chairman Ashok Seth said.
“She will stay in hospital for next three or four days. The viral needs to go away,” he added.
“Due to high fever, she was dehydrated. Today, her temperature has normalised and she is now in a stable condition,” he said. The doctor said she is much better now but her condition was very bad when she came to the hospital.
A senior official at the CM’s office said that Ms Dikhsit has been advised three-four days stay in the hospital for complete recovery from the infection.
