Six-month-old infant raped by neighbour

Two cases of rape, including of an infant and a five-year-old girl, has to come to light. In Bharat Nagar, an incident of rape of a six-month-old infant has been reported by the police. Sonu, the accused, went to his neighbour’s house

and picked up his daughter to play with her. He stepped out taking the child in his arms saying that he taking her out in fresh air. But he took the infant to a blind alley and committed the crime, left the child and ran away. When people heard the screams of the child, they brought the child home.
The baby’s parents suspected some mishappening as the child kept wailing and could not be pacified. They took the baby to the hospital where the doctors confirmed rape. The matter was then reported to the police and case was registered. The police has arrested Sonu.
In another case, a five-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a middle-aged driver here, the police said. The incident took place in K.N. Katju Marg on Thursday and the victim is the daughter of a domestic help. He allegedly lured the girl, took her in his car and raped her. The incident came to light when the girl narrated the incident to her parents who approached the police. The driver has been detained.
