Spanish national robbed by bikers
In a third such incident of its kind, a Spanish national was allegedly robbed by bike-borne assailants in Mandir Marg area in the heart of the national capital on Monday evening.
The police said the victim identified as Bouchart Chantal from Barcelona was travelling from Paharganj along with his friend Ravi Agrahari to the Ramkrishna Ashram Marg when the incident took place at around 9.30 pm.
In his police statement, the victim claimed that two bike-borne assailants attacked them when they were travelling in the rickshaw and snatched his bag. The victim claimed to have lost `22,000 Indian currency, 1,000 euros, passport, jewellery, rubis, pearls, diamonds and a mobile phone besides other items.
This is the third such incident of targeting foreigners and second such incident in the Mandir Marg police station area.
Earlier, on May 9, two Chinese women working with Air China were robbed by bike-borne men at a traffic signal near Khan Market area while they were travelling in an autorickshaw.
