Student bags `93l package

Internet giant Google has offered job to a Delhi Technological University (DTU) student with a pay package of `93 lakh. Himanshu Jindal, a fourth year student of the department of computer engineering, has been offered a job by the US-based Internet giant. This academic session, more than 40 reputed companies visited the university so far and 265 students have been placed.
The University has also been ranked number 1 in placements by a magazine. “I would like to thank the faculty members and my parents. I am feeling very happy that I have got such an excellent placement in a world-renowned company like Google. This is due all my hard work and blessings of my parents and friends,” said Himanshu. Recently, 11 other students bagged offers from US-based software firms with a pay package of `70 lakh. “DTU has strong industrial surface and its undergraduate and research programs are of high relevance to the industries,” said Prof P.B. Sharma, vice chancellor of the university.
