Techie stabbed, robbed in Dwarka

A software engineer working with an IT company in Gurgaon was stabbed and robbed by three unidentified assailants in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka area on Wednesday evening on his way back from office.

Police officials said that the incident took place when the victim, identified as Vipin, was returning to his residence in Baghdola village, Dwarka, from his office at around 8.30 pm.
“Vipin was dropped by a cab near a park in Dwarka (south). He was in a hurry and in order to reach his residence quickly, he decided to take a shortcut through a park. Three unidentified assailants sitting in the park intercepted Vipin and asked him to hand over his belongings to them,” DCP (southwest) A.K. Ojha said.
When the victim resisted, one assailant took out a knife and stabbed Vipin in his chest.
The assailants then snatched his mobile phone and wallet containing his driving license and some cash and escaped from the spot.
“The victim ran for nearly 700 metres before collapsing. He was spotted by a passerby who made a call to the police control room. The victim was rushed to Ayushman Hospital where he was admitted in a critical state,” a senior police official said.
The family members of the victim were then informed by the police after which he was referred to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital where he is believed to be in a stable condition.
No arrests have been made in the case so far but some bad characters of the area are being questioned by the[police.
In another incident, an autorickshaw passenger was stabbed by unidentified assailants in central Delhi’s Nabi Karim area on Wednesday evening.
Police sources said the assailants stabbed the victim when he resisted their robbery attempt and decamped with his cash and mobile.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
