Theft-arson gang strikes again

A burgle-and-burn incident was reported from north-west Delhi within two days of the arrest of the notorious gang leader by the south district police.
The incident happened at the Omkar Nagar, Tri Nagar, residence of Sanjay Jain, 40, who runs a plastic recycling factory. His family had gone to Rohini to attend the

marriage reception of his nephew on Sunday. At around 1.15 am on Monday, a neighbours told him that his house was on fire. He immediately rushed for home.
“The entire house was ransacked. The ground floor was completely gutted. The miscreants had not spared anything,” Jain said. Deputy commissioner of police (north west) Meenu Choudhary said, “Cash and jewellery worth around `3 lakhs is missing. We have registered a case of burglary. It appears that the miscreants had recced the house”.
The police had on Saturday arrested Sanjay alias Sanju, the kingpin of a notorious burgle-and-burn gang. He was allegedly leading a gang of burglars known for their distinct modus operandi. The gang used to carry our robberies in south Delhi and set the house on fire after the theft.
The investigators are suspecting that a splinter gang has eulogised Sanju’s modus operandi, although the role of his accomplices, who are on the run after his arrest, has not been ruled out. The police said the assailants had erected a tent outside their target house to avoid suspicion. The tent was hired in the name of Jain.
Meanwhile, unidentified burglars barged into the house of a businessman and set it on fire before decamping with cash and jewellery worth around `2.5 lakhs in Uttam Nagar. The complainant Pramod Jain told the police that on February 15 he had gone to Varanasi to attend a marriage when the incident happened.

I want to begin with a little story that was told to me by a leading executive at Aptech. He was exercising in a gym with a lot of younger people.
