Three die in building collapse

Three persons were killed and a woman was critically injured while many others are feared trapped when a four-storeyed under-construction building collapsed in west Delhi’s Nihal Vihar area on Tuesday evening.

The fire brigade officials said the incident took place in Chander Vihar at around 4 pm when the building, which was undergoing construction, collapses due to unknown reasons. The Delhi Fire Service was alerted and eight fire engines were rushed to the spot.
The officials said the rescue team immediately swung into action and recovered the bodies of two persons. from the debris, “One injured woman has been rushed to a nearby hospital and her condition is stated to be critical,” a fire official said. Another body was taken out from the debris late in the evening. The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained so far.
