Three victims complain over aid
Three victims of the Delhi blast, who were seriously injured and admitted in the RML hospital, has complained that despite being injured critically, the government has granted them an ex-gratia of just `10,000. One of the victims, Tarun Yadav, complained to AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi when he
visited the victims on Friday. “I was admitted with splinters in my leg and the doctors claimed that I am fit to go home just after two days of blast. But before they could have discharged me, I suffered severe pain in my thighs. Then the doctors send me to for an x-ray and found that a long nail shapes splinter is still in my thigh. Then they decided to operate my thigh,” said Tarun, adding that, the government only gave me a cheque of `10,000 as ex-gratia despite of `3 lakh for seriously injured.
“I told Mr Gandhi that I am still on the bed of the hospital and I can’t go to my shop. But in the government’s file I just suffered minor injuries,” Tarun added. Apart from Tarun, Nitin and Kishan Kumar also suffered serious injuries but they too got cheques of `10,000 has been given to them. However Kishan was released from the hospital four days back.
