Trafficking racket busted, 5 arrested
The special cell of Delhi police on Tuesday busted a gang of five persons who were allegedly involved in human trafficking.
The police was provided a tip-off by intelligence bureau that a consignment of Bangladeshi passports was received at Delhi Airport from Dubai. Those arrested have been identified as Sayed Shakir Hasan, Manoj Kumar Nayak, Manish Kumar Sharma, Kuldeep and Rakesh Behl.
“Their arrest led to the recovery of about 97 passports issued from India, Nepal, Bangladesh and USA, 11 fake visa stickers on passports, stamps of passport offices and Unicef, dye used in preparing fake visas, computer system and 12 fake visa stickers of USA, Canada, Malaysia and Vietnam,” said DCP (special cell) Arun Kampani.
“Hasan revealed that he received foreign passports from Nepal and Dubai through courier and he arranged fake visas for them with the help of Sharma. Nayak disclosed that he is an associate of Hasan and foreign passport couriers were received by him and the same were handed over to Hasan,” he said.
“Sharma arranged fake visas with the help of his associate Kuldeep who has earlier been arrested for human trafficking and was arrested by IGI police three months ago and was presently out on bail,” DCP Kampani said.
